The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating two separate reports of gunshots being fired into homes in Grand Junction.

The reports were received around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, December 28th. One of the incidents occurred near 32 1/2 Road and C Road, and the other followed shortly thereafter near the area of 29 3/4 Road and B1/2 Road.

It's unclear whether the incidents were related, but because of how closely the incidents occurred and how close in proximity they were, it is presumed that the perpetrators were in fact the same people in both accounts.

Luckily, no one was hurt in the incidents, as no injuries or deaths were reported, and records show that only a single round was shot into each residence, after which the suspects fled. It has also been reported that the suspects were in a vehicle of some sort, although as of now there are no leads on the make, model, or color of the vehicle involved.

There is also no known motive for the drive-by shooting crimes, but the Mesa County Sheriff's Office is currently seeking any information that the public may have in helping to identify the suspects.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone that lives near 32 1/2 Road and C Road as well as 29 3/4 and B Road that have surveillance cameras to review any footage that may have been taken last night in an effort to help identify the suspects.

If you have any information related to this crime or footage of any sort the Mesa County Sheriff's Office is asking that you call them at (970) 242-6707.
