Find Extra Cheer When You Shop Downtown Grand Junction This Holiday Season
We love shopping local, which means we find so many things to like about shopping in the beautiful downtown Grand Junction. Most downtown businesses are locally and independently owned retail shops and restaurants, so when you spend $100 downtown, about $68 stays right in our community.
But there are a few more reasons to head downtown for shopping, fun, and relaxation this holiday season:
Staycation Giveaway: Spend $50 or more at a single business during Small Business Saturday (Nov. 26) and you could win a Downtown Staycation! The staycation includes a hotel stay, dinner, spa treatment, and more on us! Visit downtowngj.org for more information.
Carriage rides, Santa and Mrs. Claus: During most weekends until Christmas, you can enjoy free horse-drawn carriage rides with JR’s Carriage Service. Carriage rides start in the parking pull-out in front of Café Sol. Meanwhile, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be strolling around downtown. Check downtowngj.org for specific times and details.
40th Annual Parade of Lights presented by Bank of Colorado: Starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, more than 100 lighted entries will circle downtown in the area's biggest parade of the year. Find more details, including parking suggestions, online here.
Spirit of Christmas: Enjoy strolling, shopping, and caroling throughout downtown from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9. Learn more online here.
We love doing our part to support a vibrant downtown business community, and encourage you to follow Downtown Grand Junction on Facebook and check out their website to stay updated on all the exciting events happening this holiday. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and yours!
