Do you think a little spider can stop a $15 Million dollar road project? Construction was haulted in the big ol' state of Texas during highway construction project at Texas 151 and Loop 1604 in San Antonio due to an eight-legged creature nobody has seen in more than three decades -- the Braken Bat Cave meshweaver.

The dime-sized spider, which has no eyes (ummm that is creeper cool,) has been on the endangered species list since 2000 and the biologist who was consulting on the construction project spotted it following a rain shower, wait it rains in Texas? Causing the project to stop so that scientists could explore the area.

A decision is on hold until the state’s department of transportation figured out what to do with the project. Nearly 80,000 people drive through the area each day and this itsby spider is slowing down traffic!

Do you think that this little spider could have the road rerouted?

Traffic in Grand Junction has seen it's slow days not because of a spider but of tearing up a Highway 6 &50 for about 2 years! What other roads are the worst in Grand Junction?
