A rash of bike thefts has been seen by the Grand Junction Police Department.

Many of the thefts have been taking place near the Colorado Mesa University Campus and in the Downtown Grand Junction area.

Most bikes that have been stolen have been taken from an unsturdy structure or just plain unlocked. There have been 121 bikes stolen already this year.

The Grand Junction Police can register your bike, which makes it easier to be found in the case of theft. The cost is only one dollar.

You can go by the Grand Junction Police Department to register at 555 Ute Ave, Grand Junction 81505, or for more information you can call 970-549-5000. Or click the link below
