It definitely seems like one of those, "you just had to be there" stories, as a professional airline pilot in Colorado looked more like someone from a crazy movie.

We've all been frustrated; we've all hit our "limit;" how many of us have gotten an ax out of the car to take our frustration out on an inanimate object? Being an airline pilot is not an easy job; what kind of day could this pilot have been having to come to such a moment?

Many people who hear about this pilot may flashback 30 years to a 1993 movie with Michael Douglas: 'Falling Down.' Douglas' character goes full-tilt "off the rails" one day and starts taking his anger at the world out on everybody. Luckily, this DIA incident didn't get as bad as that.

WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE PILOT WHO HAD AN AX AT THE DIA PARKING LOT?

According to CBS4 Colorado, a United Airlines pilot was caught on video surveillance taking an ax to a parking arm within the employee parking area. He doesn't just whack that arm a couple of times, he swings away at it over and over and over again until the arm gives up, and falls off.

WHY WAS THE PILOT AT DIA SO ANGRY?

According to CBS4 Colorado, the pilot said he had gotten tired of waiting on the arm to work correctly, so he grabbed his ax from his vehicle and went up to the front of the line to eliminate the problem. Many who have commented on the story can side with the pilot's frustration.

This feels insanely relatable, everyone has wanted to do this… we just are sane haha

The parking system there is so screwed up that I actually don’t blame him…exiting nightmares.

Hero.

When you see the video (below,) you expect the pilot to "kill" the arm and then be done. However, when one DIA personnel approaches the pilot about giving up the ax, he's not having any of that. It took two DIA personnel to get the ax away from the pilot, who then took off into a field, nearby.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PILOT WITH THE AX AT DIA?

Adams County Sheriff Deputies apprehended the pilot and took him into custody for a bit, but he wasn't taken to jail. He was charged with criminal mischief after causing $700 in damages to the frustrating arm.
