Can you believe it's been 40 years since Michael  Myers first graced the big screen in the original Halloween?

Since then, the masked killer has been wreaking havoc on Halloween in 10 Halloween sequels and remakes, although he did not actually appear in Halloween III. Jamie Lee Curtis was just 20-years-old when she starred in that first Halloween movie, and she's back. It's not often you have the original star appearing in a movie sequel 40 years later. To coincide with the 2018 release of Halloween, CineLife Entertainment is bringing the original Halloween back to theaters to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

Although I have seen the original Halloween, I have not seen it on the big screen. In 1978 I was too young to go, even if I had wanted to. I suspect there are plenty of people in the same boat, who appreciate the franchise, but never had the chance to see it on the big screen. Some may have caught the 35th-anniversary screening five years ago, and there probably was a 25th-anniversary screening as well.

Although these movies are suspenseful, they are predictable. You know that people are going to die. You just don't know exactly who, when, or exactly how.

The original Halloween will be presented in a very limited engagement at Regal Canyon View Stadium 14 October 10 and 11. Advance tickets for these showings are available from the Regal website.
