It's crazy to think about but Halloween is going to be here before you know it. While 2020 has been difficult and frustrating at times we still have lots of fun activities to look forward to before the year is over and one of them is going to the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin. Then getting creative to decorate it and one of my favorite activities, eating the seeds after they are slightly salted and baked in the oven.

Over this past weekend, the Moon Farm Pumpkin Patch in Fruita announced they are open to the public and they have plenty of pumpkins to choose from. Their pumpkin patch is at 1360 18 1/2 Rd in Fruita, CO. They are open every day from now until Halloween night from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. The cost is $7 per person for everyone 4-years-old and older. The $7 covers all activities, you will need a few extra dollars to purchase your pumpkin.

There is a lot to do when visiting the Moon Farm Pumpkin Patch including a walk through their Haunted Straw Maze, Petting Zoo, Hay Rides, they can accommodate birthday parties, and school field trips too. And when you visit their website here they even have fun coloring book pages that you can print out and color for some fall-time fun.

The Moon Farm has an extensive history that is written and published on their website which you can read here. You can even book the Farmhouse of the Outpost as a vacation or "staycation" rental if you just want to have some fun close to home one weekend. If you're looking for some fun and to pick out a pumpkin a stop by Moon Farm would be a great choice right now.
