
Mesa County Sheriff’s Office Seizes 40 Pounds of Meth Near Loma
The Mesa County Sheriff's Office made two arrests on I-70 at mile marker 14 near Loma yesterday, charging the suspects with transporting 40 pounds of meth.
Shortly before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, Mesa County Sheriff's deputies stopped a Jeep Liberty SUV, citing them with failure to drive in a single lane.
A Drug Interdiction Investigator located a hidden compartment in the vehicle containing 40 vacuum sealed packages of meth weighing one pound each.
Carlos Coronel-Quintana, 33, and Daniel Galindo-Gonzales, 31, both of Denver, were arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on a felony count each of:
- intent to distribute
- special circumstances of importing a schedule I/II drug
