In case you missed the news, the Mesa County Fair is scheduled to happen this year and that is great news.

Of course, in 2020, the Mesa County Fair had to be canceled because of the pandemic during a summer of no events in Mesa County. At the time, Mesa County was in Phase 2 of reopening which meant events involving more than 50 people and attract visitors from out of town couldn't happen. At this point, one year later, many events we missed last year are on the summer calendar including Winefest and the Palisade Peach Festival.

This year's Mesa County Fair is scheduled to take place July 13-17 at the Mesa County Fairgrounds. We can expect lots of fun events and entertainment, fair food, vendors, livestock, and the 4-H and FFA exhibits. The theme this year is Country Nights, Carnival Lights.

Popular Events

Two big events on the schedule at this year's Mesa County Fair will be the LJ Bull Riding Tour on Thursday and the Monster X Tour on Friday and Saturday featuring giant monster trucks. There's nothing like watching angry bulls and thundering car--crushing trucks.

The Carnival Is Back

Kids and families will be happy to know Carnival Midway Attractions will be providing rides and games this year and will look more like the midway carnival we have come to expect over the years at the fair.

Daily Shows

Daily visitors to the Mesa County Fair will enjoy some really cool stuff this year including the Flying Cortes Spectacular Flying Trapeze Show,  a Tiger Show, and Mad Chad the Chainsaw Juggler. Who doesn't want to watch some dude risk life and limbs with some good-old-fashioned chainsaw juggling?

Free Admission

As always, Grand Stand events will require the purchase of a ticket as will carnival rides. The super good news is that daily admission to the fair will be free. The Mesa County Fair is another traditional summer event we look forward to sharing with our friends and neighbors and July will be here before we know it.
