Man Tries ‘Test Your Speed’ Game at Coors Field, Gets Signed
When are we going to see this story on the big screen?
Nathan Patterson was recently at a Colorado Rockies game at Coors Field when he and his family decided to have some fun at the 'Test Your Speed' pitching game. His brother posted a cell phone video of Patterson in front of the radar gun, pitching throws up to 96 miles per hour. Check out the video below:
To some, this is just a fun behind-the-scenes game at Coors, but to this guy, it's the start of a new career. According to The Denver Channel, "Less than a month later he signed a contract with the Oakland A's."
Patterson supposedly threw the same speed at a Nashville Sounds game, but was hit by a car and had to have surgery on his non-throwing wrist, sidelining his plans to take his pitching arm somewhere serious.
Now, Nathan is giving us all 'The Rookie' vibes....check the video below to see what I mean.
Congratulations, Nathan-- we're rooting for you!
