The Friends of the Mesa County Libraries are seeking donations for a silent auction fundraiser, which will be scheduled in conjunction with the Central Library’s grand reopening later this spring.

The Friends of the Mesa County Libraries are seeking donations of newly finished, creatively built, and attractively decorated birdhouses.

Artists, crafters, woodworkers, and others are invited to donate. The birdhouses may be functional or art pieces and artist contact information will be prominently displayed.

Finished birdhouses will be displayed during the silent auction at the Central Library. The public can place bids on the birdhouses at that time.

Proceeds from the silent auction will go to Friends of the Mesa County Libraries to support the library.

Deadline for submissions is May 22, and birdhouses may be dropped off at the Friends of the Mesa County Libraries Book Depository, 1425 North 5TH Street in Grand Junction (on the west side of First Congregational Church, across from Grand Junction High School).

To arrange for a donation drop-off, call 201-0868 and identify the piece by attaching a card with full name and phone number.

For more information about donations or the silent auction, contact Maggie Lopez at 201-0868.
