Juvenile Assaulted in Grand Junction: Police Look For Suspects
PLGrand Junction Police are looking for suspects in connection with a recent felony assault in Grand Junction.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department, the alleged incident happened on September 1 in the area of 29 1/2 Road and Orchard Avenue. Police are hoping the public can help them identify the suspects responsible for the attack.
Here's What Happened
Police say a juvenile female was walking in the area at about 9:30pm after walking a friend home. The girl was approached by a group of 4 or 5 males on Sunset, which she did not know. Police say these guys knocked the girl to the ground and proceeded to hit and kick her before leaving the area on foot. The girl was injured but the extent of her injuries was not disclosed.
The female victim estimated the ages of the males to range from 14 to 20-years-old. The suspects are described as white and Hispanic, all wearing Nike Air Force shoes and wearing gold chains with cross emblems.
Somebody Knows Something
Grand Junction Police believe somebody knows something about this assault and are asking that person to "do the right thing and speak up."
