In case you're not familiar, Governor Polis has a record of being a sort of non-traditional public figure, as one of the most popular public announcements made by the governor in recent years was the sit-down with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone to discuss the cartoonists' purchase of the otherwise failing Colorado staple Casa Bonita.

However, this time the governor made it all the way to Fruita to discuss a new non-partisan bill that affects outdoor activities throughout the state.

Why Was Governor Polis in Fruita Colorado Recently?

Colorado Governor Jared Polis visited Fruita, Colorado, recently to announce his commitment to sign a new bill and spoke of his visit in a post on his official Facebook page, stating the following:

We are working to keep Colorado's natural beauty alive! I am excited to sign the bipartisan SB25-174, Sunset Outfitters & Guides, at Over The Edge Fruita. This law allows us to work more effectively with outfitters and guides, improves accountability, protects wildlife, and supports our outdoor recreation community.

And, while you're at it, you can check out the Facebook post that the governor published regarding this bill and his recent visit to Fruita here.
