Are These Really the Most Popular Cars in Colorado?

There's no denying that Colorado is a highly diverse state with vastly different regions both geographically and demographically. Likewise, the state is home to all kinds of people with different incomes and different tastes, and this sense of diversity is often directly related to the types of vehicles Coloradans purchase.

While some prefer vehicles with low gas mileage, others favor vehicles that are more reliable in the snow, and some require bigger, more rugged vehicles for outdoor activities like hunting and ranching.

With this in mind, it should come as no surprise that the makes and models of vehicles that have been purchased within the last couple of years vary greatly.

Colorado's Best-Selling Vehicles From 2023 to 2025 Represent Diversity

For the purposes of this article, we're going to take a look at the best-selling vehicles in Colorado based on data from the past two years that does not take into account things like private purchases or individual demographics.

For example, in March of 2023, JD Power reported that the most popular vehicle in Colorado was the Subaru Forester while it was reported at the end of that same year by Car and Driver that the best-selling vehicle in the state was the Tesla Model Y.

That same report showed the second-highest selling vehicle in the state to be the Toyota RAV4, followed by the Subaru Crosstrek.

Interestingly, a more recent study with data published by VisualCapitalist.com shows the top-selling type of vehicle in Colorado, as well as numerous other states, to be the Ford F-Series of trucks.
