San Juan County's most popular attraction might be the Silverton station which is part of the historic Durango-Silverton Narrow Guage Railroad. Nearly 200,000 tickets are sold each year for the trip that takes about 3.5 hours each way, with a two-hour layover in Silverton surrounded by the San Juan Mountains.
