3 Great Colorado Restaurants Listed Among Top 50 ‘Best’
Let's be honest: You probably haven't been in these three restaurants in Colorado; but that only means you need to give them a shot, because they're among the nation's best.
The New York Times released its list of the "Best Restaurants in America" in September of 2024, and three of them are from the Centennial State; two from Denver, and one from the southern part of Colorado.

Three Colorado Restaurants Among America's Best
The NY Times puts 50 restaurants on their list, as their team scours the country, dining at interesting and noted spots. That must be a rough job, having to eat delicious food from all over the country, but I'd give it a shot.
Two of the restaurants in Colorado that the NY Times loves are Asian cuisine, while the other is a farm-to-table dining experience. At any of the three you'll find talented chefs and their teams putting great meals together.
Three Colorado Restaurants Among NY Times' 'Best'
- Denver - Sắp Sửa (Vietnamese Cuisine)
- 2550 East Colfax.
Sắp sửa translates to "almost" or "about to be" in English. The restaurant says that the term is to imply that you're always striving to be better; you'll never be as good as the person you'll be tomorrow.
....Skeins of mint, chiles and ginger run through dishes that play on traditional Vietnamese preparations, but still taste wholly original.
- Denver - Yuan Wonton
- 2878 Fairfax Street.
Yuan Wonton (who do not have a website) were a food truck for about four years before opening up a brick-and-mortar spot in 2023.
....There are Hong Kong-style “YW OG” wontons in Sichuan chile oil, tom kha chicken wontons, Chinese chive pockets and steamed chashu pork bao. All are expertly constructed with handmade doughs.

- Pagosa Springs - Meander Riverside Eatery
- 358 East Pagosa Street.
The head chef at Meander has years of culinary training and experience that he's picked up over the last nearly 15 years, and brought them to this little country spot in southern Colorado along the San Juan River.
....The menu here is unapologetically eclectic, with quality ingredients, especially produce, and sure-handed cooking keeps it coherent.
