What Folks in Northern Colorado Actually Love to Eat, According to Their Camera Rolls
Coloradans across the state take photos with their phones every day. Many of those photos are shots of food: food at, say, a restaurant in Fort Collins as you kick off the weekend, a birthday cake, maybe just a picture of a great meal you cooked at home.
I can't imagine a time, before smartphones, when I would have taken a picture of food I was enjoying (aside from being at a birthday party) I can't see myself, or friends, taking out their Canon, their Instamatic, or Kodak Disposable to snap a shot of a steak at The Black Steer, or something like that.
Times have certainly changed; It's about the ease of using your phone, and about wanting to share moments with friends/family not present. "I wish my brother were here to see this great meal I just made..." "Grandma would love seeing all these cupcakes I just made."
I posted on our Facebook page:
Drop the last food pic you took 📷🍕 What is it + where's it from? (Home counts 🏠) We might feature it on our site. 👀.
We received over two dozen submissions from listeners showing us their most recent "food shots"; it was fun downloading/formatting them all to make a gallery. That gallery made me pretty hungry, as well.

What was really interesting to me were the photos that were taken "out of country." These folks must have been on a trip, enjoying fine meals, and capturing that moment in time. Also, for some, I could imagine the person having gotten a text: "What are you up to?" and then taking a picture: "..just making up some [blank] for dinner..."
Take a look, and feel free to submit YOUR photos.
