Many Colorado restaurants have been featured by Guy Fieri and "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives;" one spot, about an hour north of Fort Collins, got more ringing endorsements from Food sites.

Foolish Craig's in Boulder: On 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' in 2011

Even being a featured restaurant on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives ("DDD)" can't keep some restaurants (even good ones) from going under. More than a few in Colorado have seen Guy Fieri's Camaro pull up, have closed their doors. Foolish Craig's in Boulder, on Pearl Street, is not one of those to fail.

It didn't come across my feed until 2026, but it was in 2023 that the team at Delish released their "Best Triple D Destination in Every State" list that featured Foolish Craig's Cafe. A further search found Tasting Table saying the same thing, in May of 2026.

What Makes Foolish Craig's Worthy of So Many Kudos?

The one thing that Guy Fieri loved when he was at Foolish Craig's and Tasting Table references, is their Butter Rum Caramel Crêpe Cake. It's about $10, and I bet it tastes great with a glass of Mimosa.

Owned and operated by two co-owners, Foolish Mick and Just Craig, the cafe has been around since 1988; 30+ years in business, they have to be doing something right. They have award-winning bread, they use fresh produce and meat whenever they can,  and use great local food suppliers such as OZO Coffee, and RedBird Chicken

Many will hear "Boulder" and just roll their eyes. It's hard to deny, however, that there are some really good food options in "The People's Republic of Boulder."
