U.S. Forest Service is Hiring 250 Firefighters in Colorado
The U.S. Forest Service will be hiring for 250 firefighting positions in the Rocky Mountain Region. While a lot of these positions could be located in Colorado, there are opportunities to be located in other states such as Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming according to KKTV.
The U.S. Forest Service will be looking to fill firefighting positions that include hotshot crew members, hand crew members, fire prevention specialists, airtanker technicians, airtanker base managers, fuels technicians, assistant fire management officers, dispatchers, engine operators, and more.
U.S. Forest Service Firefighter Jobs
If you want to apply for these firefighter jobs within the U.S. Forest Service, you might want to do so as soon as you can as there is a small window of time to apply. Applying for these jobs within the U.S. Forest Service will take place over 33 days from August 23 to September 24, 2024. These positions are open to application by any United States citizen or national over the age of 18. Hiring managers will use a Direct Hire Authority to hire applicants. Hiring of the applicants will take place between October 30 and November 22, 2024.
The firefighting positions within the U.S. Forest Service can range from permanent seasonal to permanent full-time and all positions include benefits as a permanent United States Forest Service employee.
