
I-25 Crash Near Crossroads Blvd Leaves Truck Driver Dead
A truck driver is dead in Northern Colorado after a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 25 in Larimer County.
Fatal Semi-Truck Crash Shuts Down I-25 in Larimer County
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident happened on Tuesday, October 21, at approximately 2:02 p.m., when a semi-truck hauling a flatbed trailer went off the right side of the shoulder, in the northbound lanes of Interstate 25 at mile marker 258. The semi-truck went through the guardrail and then rolled onto the driver's side.

When the truck rolled, the driver was ejected from the cab of the semi-truck, and the semi-truck continued until it came to a rest on the shoulder of northbound Interstate 25.

As of 5 p.m. on Tuesday, both general lanes of northbound Interstate 25 were closed due to the accident and for the crash investigation. Traffic is being heavily impacted in the area, and drivers are being advised to exit at U.S. Highway 34 to avoid further delays.
The HOV lane remains open for travel northbound. Currently, there is no estimated time of reopening for the general northbound lanes on Interstate 25 between U.S. Highway 34 to Crossroads Boulevard.
Colorado State Patrol Confirms Driver Died at the Scene
The driver, sadly, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The Colorado State Patrol is leading the investigation and has said they will update with more information as it becomes available.
