Most of us have a go-to gas station in Colorado. My go-to is the Maverick from I-25 in Fort Collins onto 14. However, you might want to make a special trip to one of these gas stations.

There are multiple gas dispensers with different colors at my gas station. Diesel, regular, and blue ethanol-free gas pumps are a staple at most gas stations.

Have you seen a purple gas pump? If you have, you might want to use it because you would be giving back to Coloradans.

According to Shell, you will not be donating, but if you simply choose the purple pump then Shell will donate to a charity. Shell will donate a portion of the sale to a local charity as well, which is awesome.

In order to participate you will need to find the specific giving pump at the Shell gas station.

Here is how it works.

Shell's The Giving Pump campaign is available at 7,500 Shell stations across the country. The pumps will be available for use until October 31. Since Shell began this campaign in 2021 they have donated to over 500 charities.

There are three giving pumps in Colorado. Two of them are in Boulder and one is in Julesburg. You can check out the locations here.

I live about an hour away from Boulder, but it may be worth a trip to see one of these gas pumps. Here is how Shell gave back to Colorado a few years ago.
