One of the simplest joys of summer is going outside to pick wildflowers or gathering fresh, fragrant blooms straight from your own garden. However, if neither of these options are available to you, there's an enchanting place in Palisade, Colorado that welcomes folks to enjoy their stunning lavender fields.

Colorado's lavender season typically begins in mid-June and lasts through July. During this short period of time, western areas of the state explode with acres upon acres of purple blossoms, providing sweet smells of summer.

At Sage Creations Farm, visitors can take a peaceful stroll through the blooming lavender fields, pick a fresh bundle to take home, and soak up the serenity of the magical outdoor space. Many people save and use the dried stems for potpourri in their home.

The organic, family-operated farm is located at 3555 E Road in Palisade. They offer U-Pick Lavender experiences Wednesdays through Saturdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It's recommended to wear comfy shoes that are equipped to handle uneven surfaces. The farm provides baskets and scissors needed to clip the lavender. Walk-ins are welcome, but time slots can also be reserved ahead of time online.
