I-70 Ranks Among Colorado’s Most Dangerous Holiday Roads
According to this study, Colorado has one of the most dangerous roads for holiday travel throughout the entire country.
Top Accident Hotspots on I-70
Coming in at #6 on this list is I-70. The top "hotspot" locations for accidents are along Eisenhower / Johnson Tunnels; Vail Pass to Silverthorne; and Glenwood Canyon.
During the winter months, the crash rate on this road increases by 267%.

Wyoming’s I-80 Tops the Nation for Holiday Road Danger
At least we do a bit better than our neighbors in Wyoming. I-80 is considered the second most dangerous road to travel during the holidays in the entire country, with winter crash rates increasing accidents by 450%.
Spots like Elk Mountain / Arlington; Laramie to Cheyenne; and Rock Springs / Green River are where you'll see the worst road conditions, according to this study.
