In September at Powderhorn Ski Resort get your groove on to Restless Heart at Western Slope Uncorked and experience some delicious Colorado wine. After wine tasting, don’t be surprised if you discover a new favorite and start searching for it in the Grand Valley.

When you decide you want to open up a bottle, a five-dollar compact waiter-style corkscrew will do the trick.

So, how do you open a bottle of wine?

1. Cut and remove the foil. Using the corkscrew’s knife, apply pressure with the blade to the neck of the bottle under the lip, twist and remove.

2. Place the point of the coil at the center of the cork, apply downward pressure, and rotate straight into the cork.

3. Leverage the hinge on the neck and pull straight up until the cork is all the way out.

Voila, the cork is free!

Join us at Western Slope Uncorked and leave the bottle opening to the pros. The Grand Mesa is a great place to gather with friends to unwind, bask in the breathtaking scenery or get down to live music. Don’t miss out on an unforgettable western Colorado experience.

Western Slope Uncorked takes place on August 1st from 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at Powderhorn Resort.
