It's not just every day you get free admission to the Western Colorado museums, but here's how you can enjoy at least one free day.

On Saturday, September 23, Museum of the West, Cross Orchards Historic Site, and Dinosaur Journey will let you in free of charge as part of Smithsonian Magazine’s 13th annual Museum Day Live!

It's not that visiting our local museums is all that expensive - $7 admission at Museum of the West, and $9 at Dinosaur Journey, but, if you have a big family it can be a costly night out. That could be one obstacle that prevents some people from experiencing these local getaways, and so "Museum Day Live"! takes care of that.

The only catch is you have to have a ticket in order to enjoy free admission. Tickets can be obtained on the Smithsonian Website. Each ticket is good for two adults or two children, and there is a limit of one ticket per email address.

If you haven't ever visited these local attractions, I would encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to experience them.
