Update, August 7: Listen to the official version of "Love Myself" above!

The self-empowerment anthem has become a staple of modern pop radio—just ask Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga or Katy Perry, who have all seen massive success with "Stronger," "Born this Way" and "Firework," respectively. So how will the latest in a long list of hear-me-roar chorales stack up?

Hailee Steinfeld, who's already made a name for herself in the acting world (an Academy Award nomination at 13 years old is nothing to sneeze at), is officially throwing her hat into the ring with "Love Myself." The single is officially released tomorrow (August 7), but an early leak demonstrates some real potential.

Steinfeld, who recently recorded an acoustic version of "Stitches" with Shawn Mendes, makes for a charming mix of Icona Pop and Tove Lo in the tune, which kicks off with a composed, self-assured verse before rocketing into a club-ready chant. "Can't help myself myself, no, I don't need nobody else / Anytime, day or night," she offers as a battle cry. And she told Billboard in June it underscores an "edgy pop" she plans to stick with.

"I’m still shaping and developing it, but I would say it’s unique pop," she shared. "I cut one of my first demos with Captain Cuts over a year ago, and I’ve been recording more with them now more, which is awesome. And The Futuristics are so great."
