I just visited Grand Junction's new  gun club and saying wow would be an understatement. That and where do I sign up?

The Rocky Mountain Gun Club is state of the art to say the least. And the owners know their stuff.

I went down there today with my co-workers Waylon, Josh and Mac, we were pretty excited and impressed to say the least. We got an up close and personal tour of the facilities from one of the owners Shad

Shad the owner gave us a personal tour of the facilities showing us all the cool stuff they had to offer. He stressed the points that this place is for gun enthusiasts, from beginners and families, to the full-blown professional shooter.

As a very recent hand gun enthusiast myself, I am the first to admit that I am learning a lot very quickly, but the gun world can be intimidating to the uninitiated.

I grew up with guns in Wisconsin but mainly shotguns and .22s. So as new as I am I can relate to what a newbie is going through whether it be a man, woman or their kids.

I plan on introducing my wife to this place and eventually my 9-year-old step-daughter and I think having a woman teaching a concealed weapon course could  make it easier and less intimidating for them to learn.

What makes the Rocky Mountain Gun Club so awesome is the fact that it's a state-of-the-art facility, featuring areas for handguns, archery, shotguns and more.

If you just want to see if you like to shoot you can rent a gun and try it out, once you come down with the "trigger itch" they can can set you up with a new gun from their pro shop.

The Rocky Mountain Gun Club will rent guns to you and if you find one you like, they can sell you one too.Theyve got  handguns, rifles, shotguns, bows and pretty much anything to has to do with the a fore mentioned.

Grand opening is this week and I hope to become a regular soon.
