The City of Grand Junction is going to start using Renewable Natural Gas in it's vehicles. It will be the first city in the United States to start using Bio Waste to create this Natural Gas.

The gas called BioMethane, is created when human waste decomposes. It also comes from livestock and landfills. The raw gas is then refined and becomes compatible in any vehicle that is set up to run on Compressed Natural Gas.

In Grand Junction, the city will run about 40 vehicles on the produced gas. The school buses used by District 51 schools could use BioMethane since most buses run on compressed natural gas.

The city expects the project to pay for itself in less than a decade, and that it will cut greenhouse gases by 60% to 80%.

As long as humans exist there will always be a supply of raw materials needed to produce BioMethane.
