This week's featured pets from Roice-Hurst Humane Society may have gotten a rough start in life, but they are ready for the love of a loving family and a new home.

The sad stories of abandoned pets never end, but, thankfully, there are organizations like Roice-Hurst that match up these unwanted animals with forever homes. One of these pets might be a good fit for you.

King is 10 months old and was found as a stray in Delta late last month. King loves to bask in the sun, play with toys, and get love from people. He had previously lived with another dog, so he would definitely love to go to a home that has a friend for him to play with.

King is a puppy, but he knows how to sit and is very treat-motivated with lots of potential. Help him perfect his manners and you've got a great companion.

Saphire and Five Siblings Abandoned, But Ready For Love

Saphire is a beautiful cat, who, along with her five siblings, was found abandoned on the doorstep of Roice-Hurst. While it's better than dumping the animals out in the middle of nowhere, abandoning pets at Roice-Hurst is not the proper way to get rid of unwanted pets.

At first, these kittens were fearful of people, but after their time in a foster home, Saphire and her siblings are friendly and loveable. Saphire is now 6-months old and ready for a home. She seems to do well with other cats and children, but she hasn't been observed around dogs

Two-Year-Old Little Foot Is Ready For a Home

Little Foot just finished raising her four babies and could not have been a more loving and attentive mother. Now that the kittens are weaned, she's ready for a home of her own. She loves attention from people, but doesn't seem to be a big fan of other animals and would probably be best as an only child.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to a new pet, why not contact Roice-Hurst and arrange for a meet and greet with one of these available animals. You can contact them at 970-434-7337 or get more information about the adoption process on their website.
