As you have been driving around Grand Junction. You will notice smiles on many people's faces, and there is a really good reason. Gas prices in most location have now dropped to less than $2.00 a gallon.

KREX reports that for  the first time this year, gas prices have officially dropped below $2.00 a gallon and people in Grand Junction are happy. According to Connie Monroe:

"It's a huge blessing and I'm grateful the number was $1.98, it wasn't actually 2 or 3," "The holidays are coming and you know, we're all driving somewhere."

Last year at this time, Grand Junction travelers were paying almost a dollar more a gallon than right now.

With the lowering of prices, many more people have shown interest in traveling for the holidays.
