This week's Crime of the Week in Grand Junction features a man who has an active felony warrant and local authorities are asking for help in locating him.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department, they are looking for 30-year-old Shane Alexander Shelton. Shelton is 5'11", 190 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes, and is being sought on a felony warrant.

Long List of Charges

The Grand Junction Police Department did not release details of a crime - or crimes - committed by Shelton, but the list of charges on the felony warrant is long. The charges against Shelton include stalking, false imprisonment, harassment, violation of a protective order, 1st-degree criminal trespass, violation of bail conditions, 1st-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft, and domestic violence. With that list of charges, it's easy to see why authorities are after him.

Have You Seen Shane Alexander Shelton?

The question police are asking is have you seen Shane Alexander Shelton and/or do you know where he is? Comments on the Mesa County Sheriff's Office Facebook page suggest he might be at a residence on Hall Avenue that is said to be a "popular place for criminals."

Local authorities want help in locating Shelton, but the Grand Junction Police Department says you should not attempt to contact him if you see him in public.
