Grand Junction Bowling Tournament to Benefit Local Veterans
When was the last time you had a strike? and I'm not talking about your driving recored! Bowling such a great past time sport-Yes sport!! Coming up on March 9th the Grand Junction Veteran’s Golden Age Games Team is hosting the Asa Farrington Memorial Bowling Tournament in honor of their late friend and team member.
Asa Farrington was an avid sportsman, loved fishing, and participated in many of the Grand Junction VA recreational events including being a member of the Golden Age Games Team. Asa was a US Navy Veteran and he had a long career as an engineer with the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The tournament will take place at Orchard Mesa Lanes on Saturday, March 9th beginning at 3pm.

The bowling tournament is a fund raising activity to help the GJ VA Golden Age Games Team attend the games in Buffalo, New York in May. All funds will be used for transportation and housing of The Grand Junction C.H.A.M.P.S. Team members.
The Golden Age Games is a national event - the only national multi-event sports & recreational seniors’ competition program designed to improve the quality of life for all older veterans, including those with a wide range of abilities & disabilities.
