This week we are featuring three loveable dogs from the Roice-Hurst Humane Society that are ready right now to find their forever home.

If you have been thinking of adopting a pet, take a look at these dogs and see if one feels like a good match for you and your home.

Duke Is Friendly, Playful, and Goofy

I have to confess, Duke is my favorite among our pets of the week. If you like big dogs, Duke may be just right for you. Here's the story on Duke. He was found alone in a Walmart parking lot earlier this month, and you wonder how anyone could abandon such a loveable animal. Duke is friendly, playful, goofy, and a gentle giant full of love. He likes attention and loves to be petted.

Tate Tot Is Full of Energy

As much as I love Duke, Tater Tot looks absolutely adorable as well. Tater Tot was found as a stray a couple of weeks ago. He is just one-year-old so he's full of energy and enthusiasm for life. He seems to get along well with other dogs and children, and would love a home with plenty of room for him to run and play -- and a high fence would probably be a good idea.

Rusty Was Not Treated Well

You can't help but feel a little something for Rusty who was one of 12 dogs that came to Roice-Hurst from a cruelty/abandonment case in February. Rusty has spent most of his 3 years living outside with other dogs so he's learning about life indoors and being on a leash. He just needs a quiet home and someone with patience to learn the ropes and help him overcome shyness

If you think one of these dogs might be a perfect fit for your home, contact Roice-Hurst Humane Society to arrange a meet and greet at 970-434-7337. Don't forget about the big dog-friendly music festival Woofstock, coming up on May 14 featuring Eve 6.
