If you didn't know Game of Thrones was ending you are not alone.

The award-winning HBO television series has lit up the internet over the past 8 years, but, yet, plenty of us in Grand Junction never drank the kool-aid. Game of WHAT??

So, the series ended on Sunday night, and I couldn't help but wonder if  I was the only person in Grand Junction who was watching American Idol rather than Game of Thrones. I asked the question on Facebook and the response was pretty overwhelming.

These are just a few of the responses. There were a couple of diehards that loved the show, but the vast majority mirrored the sample of responses above. I am counted in the large contingent of TV viewers that has never seen an episode of Game of Thrones.

It's not the first time I've been out of the loop on pop culture phenoms. In fact, usually it seems I'm on the outside looking in, and the list is long: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Twilight, Friends, Batman and, (gasp) Avengers...I could go on.

If you never hopped on the Game of Thrones craze, for whatever reason, you probably aren't in the minority, even though it may seem that way. While millions of people have been tuning in every week for another must-see episode, there are millions more who haven't.
