The entire western slope community is being asked to come to the aid of a Grand Junction couple whose four-year-old daughter is facing a most daunting and dire future.

Carol Lynn has several diagnoses including Holoproscencephaly, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, Scoliosis, and Dandy Walker Malformation.

Any single one of those diagnoses by itself would be incredibly difficult for parents to face with their child. One can only imagine trying to deal with all of these conditions at the same time. But, that is exactly what Greg and Jody Wygans, of Grand Junction are facing.

Meredith Gardner is a close family friend who has embarked on an ambitious fundraising campaign to help the Wygans get into a home that is wheelchair accessible for their daughter. The home they are currently renting is being torn down this year to make room for more homes on the property.

Meredith's goal is to raise $350,000 by the end of August to provide a suitable home for this family which adopted Carol Lynn as an infant, even though they knew she had serious health problems.

A Go Fund Me account has been started on behalf of the Wygans family and you can see photos and videos of Carol Lynn on a special website caring4cl.org, which also has more information about how you can help.

Below is the radio interview we did with Meredith and some great pictures of Carol Lynn.
