The Fray
The band The Fray got together in Denver and have a certified double platinum album, and have been nominated for two Grammys -- I'd say they're pretty successful. Two of the members went to Ralston Valley High School in Arvada.
Steve Howey
Actor Steve Howey, from Reba, Shameless, New Girl and more, moved to Denver in high school. He played basketball in Sterling for two years and then decided to pursue acting.

Nikola Tesla lived in Colorado Springs in 1899 to test out his Tela coils at high altitude. He spent a lot of time and money on trying to develop the transmission of electrical power without wires.
