With concert season rapidly approaching, or at least the outdoor shed tours I started to think about my very first concert when I was in the 7th grade.Starting with my very first show as a young kid I got to see the Guess Who and Wet Willy at the DECC in Duluth, Minn, this was back when Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman were both in the Guess Who.

I had worn out my Guess Who 8-track tape that had such classics as "Albert Flasher," "Star Baby," "Undone," 'Laughing," and "These Eyes". Remember those? Probably not. But as first shows go, or first anythings for that matter as a kid, this was paramount.

The site of Burton Cummings sitting at his white baby grand during "Star Baby' and 'These Eyes' will be etched in my memories forever.

Funny thing about the memories I have is that I don't remember which friend even went with me. It wasn't a girl though, girls were to scary then. They still are come to think of it.

I do remember my mom dropping me off at my insistence outside the venue, I think it might have been a quarter mile away, I mean a cool dude like me cant be seen with my mom, you know what I mean?

So I babbled on about my first, most influential concert as a young seventh grade boy. I'd love to hear your story about your first concert and the memories you have.
