The Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch Run is going to be making a stop in Grand Junction tonight. The rally is a 10 day, 2,000-mile ride that will encompass five states honoring families of soldiers. The torch is a symbol of all of our soldiers who have lost their lives in battle.

The ride began in Oregon and will end August 3 in South Dakota at the 75th anniversary of the Sturgis motorcycle rally where the torch will be put out. The torch being extinguished is to symbolize the memories of the fallen soldiers.

In Grand Junction, the rally will make a stop at  6:15 - 6:30 p.m. to the VFW Post 1247 on Ute Avenue. The rally will be coming from Fruita with a full police escort.
