Don’t Smile in Your Colorado Driver’s License Photo, No Seriously
Don't smile in your Colorado Driver's License photo, just don't. Here's why you shouldn't smile while getting your picture taken for your driver's license.
Usually, when you get your picture taken there's someone saying cheese or you're thinking 'cheese! time to smile.' Well, this isn't the case at the Colorado DMV. You shouldn't smile while getting your picture taken for your driver's license and here's why.
The whole not-smiling-thing isn't because the DMV hates smiling faces, it's because you can't smile. You can't smile for the sake of facial recognition. Apparently, facial recognition increases when you don't smile in photos and when the photo is in grayscale.
That's right not only are you not allowed to smile while getting your picture taken, your ID also completely loses its color. Both the no smiling and grayscale rules have already been taken into effect here in Colorado.
My license is a-okay. Although I'm grinning in my picture, I'm not showing any teeth (which is acceptable) and my photo is in grayscale too.
