According to Out There Colorado, the population of Grizzly Bears was thriving at one point until the 40's and 50's when their numbers started to decline. In 1953, Grizzly Bears were declared extinct in the state.

But... One has to ask if they are really gone from Colorado? Why would I ask this question? Because there is an interesting form on the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website. It's a Grizzly Bear sighting form and it's real. Don't believe me? Check it out for yourself HERE.

Do you think that there is a slight possibility that there may be a few Grizzly Bears left in remote parts of Colorado? We would love to hear what you think.
