The Denver City council is meeting this week, and Denver officials may be shutting down several (around 60 or so) pot growing collectives. Keep in mind, these are not established dispensaries or home grows.

A collective is where they grow for people who can't grow where they live. Perhaps the landlords won't allow pot growing on their property, or other building restrictions are prohibiting growing on the property, the collective is where that person(s) can grow their own plants for their own private use.

However, city officials are saying that these collectives grow up to 2,000 plants but don't follow the safety codes established for commercial grows. The new legislation would limit the collectives to 36 plants. A private household is limited to 12 plants, currently.

Do you feel like this is just and fair? What are your thoughts on these growing collectives?
