Back in October Delta had announced that 460 passengers had been added to their no-fly list due to non-compliance when it comes to their face mask policy on their aircrafts. But according to KOAA, that number has increased quite a bit over the past few months. The face mask rule has been in place since the beginning of the pandemic but with more people traveling for the holidays, it appears that more people are pushing back against the airline's guidelines.

It's not just Delta, United has banned 430 passengers and JetBlue has banned 88 passengers.

From personal experience, I have flown since the pandemic began and of course, I was required to wear a mask the whole time. I normally put on a neck gaiter mask in the morning so I always have a face covering, but that isn't enough on airlines. I was asked to take down my neck gaiter and wear a paper mask they provided. As most passengers do I did what was asked so I could continue with my travel plans.

But I will say while on that flight I did see one flight attendant wearing three masks at one time. Both my wife and I thought it was a little much, but if it helps you feel safer, do whatever is right for you.

The Department of Defense said after conducting a study that masks combined with airplane filtration systems can greatly reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus.

The CEO of Delta airlines also announced this week that the company will be asking employees to take unpaid leave for the foreseeable future, due to fewer people traveling by plane since the pandemic hit back in March.
