Who knows what this woman had planned. Thank goodness her parents took action when they found what she had in her room.

For the second time this year, Florida comes up in the news in regards to having a woman obsessed with the mass-shooting at Columbine High School, which marked its 20th anniversary this past April.

The Denver Post has the story on how a 27-year-old woman who lives about 45 minutes south of Tampa, was arrested after police were called to her parent's house and all the weapons and other 'disturbing' items she had stashed were discovered.

Michelle Louise Kolts was taken into custody without issue just after midnight on Friday, October 5, 2019, on 24 counts of 'making a destructive device with the intent to do bodily harm or property damage.'

Some of the items found in Kolts' room:

  • 24 pipe bombs
  • 23 knives
  • 2 BB pellet rifles
  • 6 BB pellet handguns
  • 2 hatchets
  • Many books and DVDs about mass-killings, murder, bomb-making, and domestic terrorism.

According to the story, Kolts' has become obsessed with the Columbine shooting as well as the Oklahoma City bombing; last year she was investigated after ordering a lot of bomb-making manuals online.

In this instance, the police say she admitted that she wanted to hurt people, though the did not disclose where she'd planned to commit the devastation.

The charges against Kolts are second-degree misdemeanors; if convicted, she could be sentenced to 15 years.

It was earlier this year, closer to the actual anniversary of Columbine, that another Florida woman's obsession had her traveling to Colorado and purchasing a shotgun near the high school, causing a manhunt in the foothills.
