Colorado Tattoo Shop Covering Up Racist Tattoos for Free
I've heard of this happening at a few tattoo shops across the country but now there is a tattoo shop in Colorado that is stepping up. The details were first released by KRDO, that The Fallen Heroes Tattoo shop in Colorado Springs is working on a project called "Redemption Ink". They are offering to cover up people's racist, prejudice, and hateful tattoos for free.
This program has been in place for a few years now but now more than ever they want to make sure people are aware of what is being offered at no charge. The owner of the tattoo shop, David Brown said, "The program was founded with the hope of giving people who lost their way a second chance at leading a life they're proud of."
There have been numerous people that have reached out to the tattoo shop about getting ink removed or changed into something they aren't ashamed of anymore. Having a hateful tattoo on your body can cost you so many opportunities in life because people might be scared or intimidated or just don't want to give the same opportunities as someone without the same tattoos.
