The Colorado State Patrol is using new technology to identify you in the case you get pulled over. The technology is a way to find out who you are.

Typically if you get pulled over, you are asked for your driver's license and insurance. Now there is a new way for officers to identify you. A new portable fingerprint scanner will now be used. It is just as easy as using your fingerprint to unlock an apple device.

This is a very good thing for those who forgot to grab their wallet or purse. Normally, if you got pulled over, and you were not able to identify yourself, you were getting a ride downtown. Now, with this new device, you can simply scan your finger, and within seconds, the officer will know who you are.

Don't worry. If you are asked to use this new device, and scan your finger. You are not getting put into the system, it simply gets information from what is already in the system.

So the next time your out and you have forgotten your license, you can rest a bit easier. My advice would be to just not get pulled over in the first place.
