Colorado Moose Crossed 6 Lanes Of Rush Hour Traffic

A moose joined Colorado Springs rush hour on Friday morning (Sept. 18).

The two-year-old female crossed over six lanes of active traffic before entering the busy Palmer Park. Fortunately, the moose had great Frogger skills and wasn't hit by any vehicles.

Colorado Parks & Wildlife crews then followed her hoofprint tracks through the park for two hours before locating the moose.

The moose was tranquilized, tagged, and carried onto a trailer by about 10 CPW officers.

The moose later woke up in her new, more secluded home where she had been relocated — a marsh in the mountains west of Colorado Springs.

CPW reports she had adjusted quickly, taking a swim in the pond and snacking on Willow trees during her first few hours in the new home.
