It's something that couples struggle with all the time: 'What should we eat.' Now that you've split, you can eat whatever you want. Here's what Coloradans turn to the most.
It's never pleasant when you break up with someone. You've spent weeks, months, years of your life with this person, and now it's all over. Many turn to family and friends for comfort; some turn to alcohol, and many turn to food. Comfort food.
Binge-watching a favorite TV show while trying to cry all day, is one option for getting over a breakup; diving in at work and taking more on, to help keep your mind off of it all is another. Food, however, is a big 'winner' when it comes to helping us not feel like a loser.

Things do just seem to taste better when you're going through a breakup. Maybe it's a sense thing: your sense of taste is heightened because you've shut off your heart. I'm not a scientist.
The website USArx.com, which is a digital health marketplace for prescription savings, went about tracking down what comfort foods are searched for the most after a breakup. They gathered 30 common "breakup food" items, both sweet and savory items. They then ran them through Google Trends search volumes for a year, from April 2021 to April 2022.
