Coldplay Releases New Single ‘Midnight’ [VIDEO]

Coldplay released their new single 'Midnight'! Plus, it comes with a video.

Their last album 'Mylo Xyloto' was released in 2011 and they also released the song "Atlas" on the soundtrack for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' last August.

This is not your typical "poppy" Coldplay song but it is definitely a welcome change. I'm sure their next album will not be entirely like this, although I wouldn't be complaining if it was. It is a very laid back, relaxed song and the trippy video really accents it well. Many people are comparing it to a Bon Iver or Radiohead type composition.

I dig it... I've been jamming it all day in my studio! I cannot wait until the full album is available. Like I said, this is a welcome change of pace but we'll see what the critics have to say. Do you like the new tune?
