The missing vehicle is described as a brown 1949 GMC pickup with tan running boards. The truck is a cherished heirloom, and as you can see from the photo, it's a good-looking vehicle that was highly regarded back in the day. According to AutoMuseumOnline, GMC manufactured 83,800 pickups in 1949. Following World War II, pickups were extremely popular across the country. The GMC trucks were advertised as having heavy-duty frames, Hydrovac power breaks, and adjustable seats. The trucks were known for their "strength and durability."
