Do you have show business in your blood? A more accurate question might be, "Would you like to perform as part of a celebration of Western Colorado diversity?"

Performers of all kinds, including singers, dancers, musicians, clothing designers, etc, are invited to apply to entertain audiences with the 2019 Mesa County Libraries Culture Fest.

What's involved with this event? According to a press release from the Mesa County Library:

Performances must be 30 minutes long and be designed to entertain as well as to educate. Culture Fest performers often include brief descriptions as appropriate to highlight the cultural or historical significance of the performance, such as a song, dance, clothing, or musical instrument.

Successful performers will be selected on the basis of artistic expression, overall community interest, cultural relevance, and special needs, costs, or requests associated with their performance.

Who can participate? Anyone who's interested, that's who. Submit an online application by July 20, 2019. You must be available to perform at Culture Fest, coming up Nov 2, 2019, at the Mesa County Central Library at 443 N. 6th Street in Grand Junction.

There are some important deadlines to be observed, so get info, including the application form, at mesacountylibraries.org/cfperformers or call 970-243-4442.

This sounds like fun. Considering the wide variety of categories, there's bound to be something you'd enjoy. Let's make this a huge event celebrating the diversity found in Western Colorado.
